We slept in again, but this time, we didn’t have nearly as
much crap to do. We’re starting to hit our groove. We still made it to the park
late, but we got ready in half the time as yesterday and I don’t have to wait
in line today.
At least not for tickets.
Unfortunately, we did have to wait in line for everything
else. Most lines were close to an hour long. The boys started out by going on
the racetrak where Alex demonstrated how he will never be allowed to borrow the
Escalade (although he claims someone rammed him and spun him out).
But most of the day was spent waiting in line
We had stopped at WalMart to buy a small bag because I
wanted a break from the wagon. We also left the big camera`s behind as
witnessed by the pictures, but it felt good to travel light. As the day went
on, it started getting busier and busier. It`s cheaper to come into the park
after 5:00, and with the fireworks starting at 10:00. The place was mental.
There had to be 10,000 people in the park. Wait times were up to 2 hours for
rides and just walking through the crowd we got seperated two times. The park
was way too packed. We wanted to stay for the fireworks, but we figured they`d
last at least half an hour and we still had a 50 minute drive. We didn`t get
all the rides in we wanted, so we thought the park would be less packed
tomorrow. We thought we should head home and get up super early, pack up the
trailer and try to be at the park for 10:00.
The park was beautiful at night. Wish we could have stayed longer, but it was crazy. Getting out of the parking lot proved to be tough as well. Because it is so clear around Wonderland, people were parked all over the place. Even on the exits to the 400!
We got out of there and headed back to the
campsite. Alex and I started packing up outside to speed things up tomorrow
morning while Guylaine got the clothes ready for the morning and put the kids
to bed. Let`s see how fast we can get
out here tomorrow.
